Our SUPER KIDS – 100% Play & Learn Programme transforms the conventional pre-primary classroom into an interactive learning environment where children explore, experiment, communicate, create, move, imagine and discover.
Rather than separating play from learning, we integrate them completely. Every activity has a developmental purpose, and every learning outcome is achieved through meaningful experiences.

At St. Philomena’s English School, early childhood education is designed around one powerful principle: children learn best when they are actively engaged, emotionally secure, curious and joyful.
Our programme thoughtfully integrates the strengths of Montessori practices, play-way methodology, activity-based learning, experiential learning, storytelling, music and movement, art, role play, sensory exploration, manipulatives and guided discovery.
The curriculum is structured around the holistic development of the child across six interconnected domains:
strengthening observation, memory, reasoning, problem-solving, classification and early mathematical thinking.
developing listening, speaking, vocabulary, phonological awareness, pre-reading, reading and early writing skills.
nurturing cooperation, sharing, teamwork, responsibility, independence and positive interpersonal relationships.
building self-confidence, self-expression, resilience, empathy and emotional awareness.
strengthening fine-motor and gross-motor coordination through movement, manipulation and multisensory experiences.
encouraging imagination through art, craft, music, dance, drama, construction and creative exploration.
These experiences progressively develop the foundations required for formal schooling while preserving the wonder, imagination and happiness of childhood.
The programme also strengthens English communication, while respecting the importance of children’s home language and encouraging them to express their ideas confidently and naturally.
Age-appropriate digital resources and interactive learning experiences are used selectively to enhance—not replace hands-on exploration, human interaction and purposeful play. Teachers continuously observe children’s participation, communication, developmental milestones and emerging competencies to provide appropriate support and enrichment.
Technology is used thoughtfully to support curiosity, creativity and learning. Interactive resources complement hands-on activities, play and teacher guidance, helping children learn in engaging and age-appropriate ways.
Children are not expected merely to listen and reproduce information. They touch, observe, question, manipulate, communicate, collaborate and create. Teachers function as facilitators who carefully design experiences that allow every child to progress according to individual developmental readiness.
We believe that school readiness is much more than knowing letters and numbers. A truly school-ready child is curious enough to ask questions, confident enough to communicate, independent enough to attempt tasks, creative enough to imagine possibilities and socially prepared to learn with others.
That is why our Pre-Primary Programme follows the principles of:
Assessment goes beyond written examinations. Progress is continuously monitored through activities, projects, observations, presentations, quizzes, practical demonstrations, worksheets and application-based assessments.

Our goal is not simply to prepare children for the next class.
